12.2. The general description
THE GENERAL DATA

The reechnyj steering mechanism consists of two basic details: gear wheels and gear рейки. The gear wheel is взацеплении with рейкой. The steering mechanism will transform a gear wheel rotary motion in поступатель ное moving рейки which lateral шарнирными is connected by draughts with levers of turn of operated wheels.

In the steering hydraulic booster it is used роторный the hydraulic distributor which operates switching of highways. At steering wheel turn in this or that party, the distributor connects to a delivery highway of the pump one of cavities of the hydrocylinder and simultaneously other cavity – with сливом. The hydrocylinder piston is fixed on a rod which is continuation gear рейки. The piston will transform a difference of pressure of a working liquid to force which moves рейку to the left and to the right and through steering draughts and levers turns operated wheels of the car. At refusal of the steering amplifier driving possibility remains, but efforts to a steering wheel increase. Steering wheel rotation is transferred by steering shaft to a shaft-gear wheel which is in gearing with рейкой. The steering mechanism will transform a shaft-gear wheel rotary motion to forward moving рейки. In hydrosystem of the steering amplifier it is used лопастный the pump.

The protective cover, directing lath рейки, плунжер рейки and the hydraulic distributor will not enclose to repair in operation and are replaced in gathering with the steering mechanism.

The hydrosystem pump is supplied by a separate tank for a working liquid. Protect тельный the valve which has been built in a regulator of the expense, limits limiting value of pressure of forcing of the pump.

The steering column of the car has following features of a design:

– The power absorbing device which improves passive safety of the car. At a car head-on collision the steering column is deformed in a longitudinal direction, absorbing energy of blow. It reduces probability травмирования the driver;
– In a steering column the ignition lock is put;
– The mechanical lock built in a steering column can block inclusion of ignition and turn of a steering shaft. The lock is the antijoy ride device. On a steering column controls (levers) by turn indexes, head headlights, смывателем and a windscreen cleaner also are mounted.

The steering column can be easily dismantled and is again established on the car.


The prevention

For correct функциони рования the power absorbing device of a steering column important that such fixing details (screws, bolts were used only and nuts) which are provided by a column design. Besides, all carving connections of a steering colony should be tightened the moment of the demanded size. At assemblage and installation of a steering column it is necessary to grease all knots of a friction консистентной литиевой with greasing. At the reference with the steering column dismantled from the car it is necessary to show care. Plastic fixing details with which provide rigidity of a steering column, can be cut off or weakened at use of not recommended strippers of a steering wheel, from strong blows on the helmsman палу, the appendix of the bending moment or at falling of a steering column.


All cars with automatic transmission and a floor arrangement of the lever of the selector of ranges, are equipped by the device of blocking of the lock of ignition. The device includes a flexible cable which is connected by one end with the lever of the selector of ranges, and another – with a blocking pin of the lock of ignition. In selector "R" positions, "N" or "D" the pin does not allow to turn the ignition key in position "Lock". The blocking device is given possible попорот a key in this position only after moving of the lever of the selector of ranges to a position "Р" by) (Parking). If the ignition key is in position "Lock", a the selector lever – in position "Р", the pin enters into interaction with a cam of a cable and blocks moving of the lever of the selector from position "Р". On the cars equipped with a box to transfer by a hand control, blocking of inclusion of a starter is provided at the released pedal of coupling.
